Given its specifications, quality build and especially price, the RX1 isn't for everyone. Keep in mind that there are a number of extras you'll want to have (including an EVF) that will bump the price up by hundreds of dollars. But this is, in many ways, a true photographer's camera with its manual aperture ring and fixed lens. That may sound obvious, but not everyone will be excited about some of the RX1's attributes. Although it costs more than some higher end DSLRs, the RX1 makes a great second camera for pros and semi-pros and will probably appeal to photographers who want excellent quality in a convenient, compact body.
Build and Design Pick up the RX1 and there's no doubt that this camera was built with quality in mind. Its tank-like magnesium alloy body just feels right in the hand and, although it's not weatherproof (which would have been nice), you get the feeling that it can withstand heavy use. Even the lens cap is offers the same premium feel.

Connectivity is always an issue, and one where the iPad also set the standard, although one where iPad users do it Apple's way, or no way. The Motion CL900 is more flexible here. There's a USB port, a micro-HDMI video port, an SD Card slot and also a

Technology: The Toshiba Thrive is no iPad
An HDMI port with an optional cable lets you connect Thrive to a high-definition TV monitor for viewing on the big screen. The battery is removable, too, though prying off the back cover is a challenge. There's a computerlike file manager program for

Toshiba Thrive doesn't match the iPad The given HDMI port can be used along with an optional cable to connect the tablet to an HDTV for large screen viewing. It comes with a removable battery, a far cry from the iPad; however removing the back cover can be a bit difficult. Source: http://www.mobilebloom.com/toshiba-thrive-doesnt-match-the-ipad/222360/ |
Analyst: 'Premium' iPad 2 coming
The iPad2 refinded most of the shortcomings of the iPad1 - and if this is a 'pro' model, then we can imagine that they are adding something to make it more secure and other neccessieies (SD slot, USB or HDMI interface?) so governerment and corporate

My mom wanted to buy the iPad but she was just wondering if it has hdmi so you could plug it into the tv and watch tv shows or whatever on it but theres really no point ... just watch it on the tv, its much bigger.
I doubt it has HDMI, it's basically just a big iPhone. You'd probably be much better off getting a netbook or laptop. Much more functional.
Why did apple make a HDMI out cable for the iPad 2? That is completely ridiculous.
Don't you think they should introduce 1080P airplay along with the 3rd gen Apple TV?
That way they would make a lot more money?
The reason they put an HDMI output on the iPad 2 is because more and more people wanted it to be able to hook up to tv's. They figured that most televisions these days have HDMI on it, so that was the first connector that they put out. They are probably
The HDMI lead works on its own. The charger lead works on its own, as long as the HDMI lead is not plugged into the tv, chargers the IPad and allows me to connect to iTunes on my iMac over wifi, BUT when I plug the HDMI lead into the tv the iPad stops charging, HDMI still works and the iPad will restart charging when the HDMI lead is unplugged from the tv. Have tried it on 2 tvs and the same problem. Anyone have any idea of a fix?
