Pioneer Elite VSX-43, VSX-70 Receivers Feature 4K Ultra HD Support
Pioneer Electronics is debuting its Elite VSX-43 7.1-channel receiver and VSX-70 7.2-channel receiver, both of which promise the quality you’d expect from an Elite component.First and foremost, each of the new receivers has 4K Ultra HD pass-through, with the VSX-70 adding in upscaling of analog and HDMI video signals.
There are also several new options that allow you to share each receiver with multiple areas of the house. The VSX-43 can crank out to a full 7.1 setup or be configured for 5.1 in one room, leaving those extra two channels for another room (also known as “Zone 2”). The VSX-70 can deliver simultaneous entertainment in up to three zones, with that third (the HDZone) having the option for control through Pioneer’s new iControlAV2013 app .
Also important to mention is the addition of Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) connectivity. Each receiver has an HDMI input on its respective front panel, which also doubles as an MHL 2.0 input. This allows users to plug in an MHL-equipped Android device for playing back audio and video content (including HD and 3D).
Other features on the VSX-70 include eight HDMI inputs, two-way RS-232-over-IP control, and certification from Crestron and Control4 for use with a home control system. This high-end model also includes Pioneer’s new AVNavigator, a perk designed for Windows and Mac computers, as well as the iPad. This provides a two-way interactive owner’s manual that can walk a user through the receiver’s entire setup process.

While this keeps the ElitePad 900's design clean and clutter free, it could also hobble the user base that HP is approaching with this system: The SMB and enterprise business user. If deployed alone (more on that below), the ElitePad 900 user will have to tell a colleague to email a file to him (or her) rather than simply sharing it on a USB stick.The ElitePad 900 measures a compact 177 x 260 x 9.2mm (WxDxH), and weighs 620 grams. This is quite portable, and thanks to its 10.1in screen it's a lot easier to hold in the hand than the 11in tablets like the Acer Iconia W700 and the HP Envy X2. The ElitePad 900 comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio (1,280 x 800 resolution) screen, which differs from the normal 16:9 (1,280 x 768 resolution) displays found on other slate tablets. This was done to keep parity with other 16:10 screens on older desktops, laptops and tablet PCs, but you'll only notice if your in-house apps were formatted with 16:10 in mind.

Sound through ipad 2 av adapter not through hdmi?
I have the ipad av adapter but i run sound in my theater room through either optical or ryw cables. Is their anyway for the sound to go through the headphones cable or anyplace other than the hdmi?

No, you can use the Apple Digital AV Adapter on both iPad 1 and 2, but mirroring with an HDMI-compatible display is supported only on iPad 2. The other option is to use Video Out. It is supported on both iPads with up to 720p for the older iPad and up

Remember this post where I talked about how I hated the iPad because it doesn’t have a video out? I finally was able to solve that problem thanks to China gadgets to the rescue. I’m talking about CD-R King’s iPad HDMI Adapter . Well, Apple has it’s own version, but it only came out after I bought this one, so screw that.
It costs 1480 PHP , and the official Apple version is around 2000 PHP. What’s good about this one, despite it being a replica, is that it doesn’t have a connecting cable. With that you won’t have to deal with the risk of breaking the cable and making the said accessory completely useless. Oh, how many times has it happened already to me with my Apple USB cables? It’s just a piece of plastic you poke into your Apple gadget, then poke a standard-sized HDMI cable in it, and voila!
The bad thing about it is that the accessory doesn’t completely lock to the iPad so it’s pretty sensitive to movement. When using, just put yourself and your gadget in a good position to make sure the HDMI converter won’t just come off. It’s so light that it seems that it will, no, IT DEFINITELY WILL disintegrate if you throw it against the wall. So be careful :p
