iPhone 5S release date, specs, features & price rumours
Our iPhone 5S release date, specs and rumours article is updated regularly, check back for the latest updates. Updated on the 14th May 2013 with more iOS 7 information.
Apple's release schedule for phones generally means keeping roughly the same design for two iterations, such as the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. If Apple sticks to that, it means that we're likely to see the iPhone 5S as an update to the existing iPhone 5 . Completely new hardware and a different design are most likely going to have to wait until the iPhone 6 , which is rumoured to launch in 2014.
iPHONE 5S RELEASE DATE
There's no other way of putting this: rumours of the iPhone 5S release date are a complete and utter mess. If you believed every single snippet of information, then the new iPhone could be released in practically every month until September 2013. Law of averages would seem to suggest that one of these dates is correct, although Apple could just release in October just to prove everyone wrong.
Anyway, here's what we've got. Most recently, an internal memo from Japanese network KDDI was leaked. This stated that the company would start taking pre-orders on Jun 20th, before the iPhone 5S is released in early July. Alongside the launch date, the leaked memo contains some alleged specs, including that there will be a 13-megapixel main camera.
Apple Reduces iPad 2 And iPad 3 Prices - iTechPost
Recently, retailer Best Buy reduced the price of the 64GB Wi-Fi and Cellular version of the AT&T variant of the iPad 3 to $545.99, giving consumers a hefty discount of $234. At the time, Best Buy was also offering the 16GB Wi-Fi and Cellular version of the iPad 3 for $405.99, a discount of $174.
Retail chain Walmart , too, slashed the price of the 16GB Wi-Fi-only variant of the iPad mini in early April, to $299.99, which is $30 less than the usual price of the tablet.
Apple is offering discounts on both the AT&T and Verizon variants of the iPad 3 in black and white.
"Knocking the price off is for the refurbished units, and the iPad 2 + 3G will run you $349, while the iPad 3 + Cellular gets down to $409. Not bad, especially for the iPad 3, as you get the top-notch pixel-density, too. As usual, this will go while supplies last, so if you are interested, hit the source link, as you get a year of warranty from Apple, too," notes Phone Arena.
Speculation is rife that Apple will soon launch the fifth-gen iPad and second-gen iPad mini. The discounted prices have sparked conjecture that with the Apple product launch looming, retailers are looking to clear their old inventory and, therefore, the price drop.
